Hope

Walking the beach yesterday morning, I met a man who asked me a few questions about shark tooth hunting. He told me he was visiting from Iowa and that he had searched quite a while the day before with very little success.

I walked away from our chat thinking, “I sure hope he finds something before his vacation is over.” I was also reminded, “I live in paradise.”

And for the rest of the day yesterday I thought about how the Bible teaches us through multiple Scriptures to have patience as we continue to hope for what we do not yet see.

There are shark teeth on the beach each day. Sometimes I find one. Sometimes I don’t. But they are there, even when I can’t see them. It’s a reminder that God’s at work, even though I can not see His hand.
