Simplicity

Sitting here in Port-au-Prince on a quiet Saturday morning, I am reminded of the beauty of simplicity and its ability to open our eyes to the things in life that actually matter.

I have many decisions to make in the days ahead, and this time in Haiti is allowing me to hear and see in ways I cannot when surrounded with the comforts and distractions of an American existence.

Many times through the years I have said, “I can always hear God most clearly when I am in Haiti.”
